Oasis onE World Choir –
WeEkly online sEssiOns on zOom

11.00 -12.30 & 1.00 – 2.30
Where – From home via Zoom
How much – Free
Since Lockdown, we thought about how to maintain our Oasis One World Choir
sessions with so many choir members in self isolation. Every Monday we have
been running our weekly choir, dance and drumming workshops online. One of
thepositive outcomes of Lockdown has been our ability to link through the on-
lineplatform Zoom with members of our choir who have been moved to other
parts of the country. Swansea, Newport, Scotland, London, Bristol and Cardiff.
We have also been able to link with our Wales/Africa creative arts partners
in Ethiopia and Kenya. This has been incredible on so many levels, for
everyone involved, providing enriching mutual support. Resulting in a
collective shared activity despite the restrictions.

Oasis One World Choir were recently granted an ACW Create award for our exciting new project ‘Our Nation of Sanctuary Under A Groove’. It will bring the voices, cultures and languages of people seeking sanctuary to a wider audience. Reflecting and connecting our specific community with the public and working together to create more equal and caring arts in Welsh society. Creating original music, movement, spoken word and wearable art. All emerging from group improvisations. Through all this it is our ambition to produce an artistic celebration for our Nation of Sanctuary.
