We’ve got very good news to share, we have been awarded a new grant from the Arts Council of Wales, Create fund.

Oasis One World Choir will be able to build on the success of ‘Our Nation of Sanctuary Under A Groove’ project to bring the voices, cultures, stories and languages of people seeking sanctuary to a wider audience.

We have created a body of work, that joyfully reflects and strengthens the concept of Wales as a Nation of Sanctuary that we would like to share across Wales. By collaborating with Wales leading artists Ffion Campbell-Davies and Phil Okwedy we will be creating new work for our ‘Togetherland’ project that will add to what has been created so far. You will be able to experience Togetherland with us on our mini Wales tour next year.

We have been awarded funding from Community Foundation Wales – Nation of Sanctuary Croeso Fund for our project Sanctuary Voices and Grooves – to run a training course for Oasis One World Choir members and for extra music and dance workshops.

More good news, we have been funded by the Ragdoll Foundation to create a music video with young people seeking sanctuary.

Working with Oasis One World Choir children and young people seeking sanctuary in Wales will create their own film from script to screen ‘Hear Our Grooves, See Our Moves’. Creating original songs, movement pieces and spoken word together as well as gaining skills in film production , they will bring their stories and voices to the Big Screen.
